Meet Shu (Sharon)

Shu Da, MACP, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

As someone who has experienced life across cultures, I understand the unique challenges that immigration can bring to individuals and families. Adjusting to a new country often involves more than practical changes—it can reshape our identity, relationships, sense of belonging, and connection with ourselves. I am passionate about providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed therapy to help clients navigate these transitions with greater confidence, resilience, and self-understanding.

I have experience working with adults and adolescents suffering from anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, relationship difficulties, chronic illness, identity issues, and cross-cultural adjustment. My approach is integrative and tailored to each client, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, Internal Family System (IFS) and relational approaches to provide trauma-informed care and foster meaningful and lasting changes.

I work especially well with adults who appear capable on the outside but struggle with anxiety, perfectionism, self-doubt, difficult family relationships, or the lasting impact of childhood experiences. I strive to provide a collaborative space where you can better understand yourself, rebuild self-trust, and move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and a stronger sense of agency.
